There are so many questions that come to mind as this family claims the ownership of the whole country.

According to Unique Facts, “Maharlika” includes the islands of Guam, Hawaii and the whole archipelago of the Philippines before the Spanish invasion. It is said the Maharlika was ruled over by the family, of the Tagean-Tallano from the 9th-15th century. One of the known and supposed kings of Maharlika is King Luising Tagean-Tallano, father of Rajah Lapu-Lapu and Rajah Soliman. The latter two have been mentioned in a lot of Philippine History Books and most people knew them.

Wikipedia records and Philippines History book written only that “Lapu-Lapu (1491–1542) was a ruler of Mactan, an island in the Visayas, Philippines, who is known as the first native of the archipelago to have resisted the Spanish colonization. He was also responsible for the demise of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan. He is now regarded, retroactively, as the first Filipino hero. He is also known under the names Çilapulapu, Si Lapulapu, Salip Pulaka, and Kali Pulako (alternatively spelled as Cali Pulaco), though the historicity of the names is disputed.”

Marcos were implicated. As the litigation progressed, different numbers of Original Certificate of Title (OCT) were presented.

In 1968, the Senate and the National Bureau of Investigation each conducted a separate investigation to determine which are valid. But the court declared only one mother title, two Transfer of Certificate of Titles and its owner as authentic. Consequently, leaving the other titles as null and void, no probative value and non-bankable. In February 4, 1972, the presiding Judge Enrique Agana handed down the Decision with Compromise Agreement in consideration of sound judicial system and the Tagean-Tallano Clan. When Martial Law was imposed in September 21, 1972, rapid reversal of the court decision occurred.
