Concerned Baby Elephant Rescues A Man She Mistakenly Believed Was In Danger!

In the video uploaded in the Facebook page Pulptastic, a concerned baby elephant rescues a man she mistakenly believed was in danger.

The concerned baby elephant named Kham Lha at the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Thinking that her favorite human was in danger, she rushed into the river to the aid Darrick Thompson, the co-founder of the foundation and her hero.

Here’s the catch, Thomson didn’t actually need saving. He was simply calling out Kham Lha on the shore, and she mistook it for a call for help. Then, little pachyderm raced through the water and very gently offered her trunk for Thompson to hold and put her body over his to protect him from the rushing current.

Staff told CNN Thomson helped rescue Kham La and her mother Bai Teoy in 2015.

“Since he rescued Kham La, he spent time to heal her from the mental (anguish) and has shown love to her,” the staff said.

“It’s not long after that, she (made a) strong bond with him, and accepted him to be part of her herd.”

The foundation who operates the Elephant Nature Park has rescued dozens of the giant.

This video shows the close bond between Darrick and elephant Kham Lha. Perhaps, this is Kham Lha’s way of repaying and saying thank you to the hero who saved her life and her mother. This only proves that when we treat animals with love, they always paid love back to us.
