This creative bride created her own bridal gown from paper.
Recently, a bride went viral on social media for being creative in wearing a paper bridal gown she made for her wedding. Aside from her creativity, many netizens expressed admiration for saving a lot of money by making her own bridal gown.
She is identified as Maricel Capinig Abaño from Batuan, Masbate but now lives in Project 6, Quezon City made rounds on social for using papers fro her craft, especially on her own bridal gown.
Last October 17, she got tied the knot with Ronald Lucena Mata at the ‘Kasalang Bayan.’ A bridal gown costs from Php5,000 upward but Maricel only spent a few pesos on the bond paper and cartolina she used for the unique outfit. From folded pieces of bond paper, she shaped her regular gown.
Her creative gown also came with a matching hat inspired by the hats worn by ladies during royal weddings in Britain. Maricel received help from her two friends, Jellie Miasco Lurza and Ereca Matawaran.
She also matched her outfit with colorful pieces of paper flowers made from construction paper. Her entourage also wore matching outfits, with their skirts laced with folded paper similar to that in Maricel’s bridal gown.
According to The Summit Express, Councilor Marivic Co-Pilar sponsored the mass wedding for 178 couples. Just like any of us, she was laso impressed with Maricel’s outfit. She also gave the bride a special wedding gift.
She indeed so creative, even saved a lot of money for her wedding gown.
