According to INC, there are a myriad of things the world could benefit from having more of. Kindness is one of them. When you are a kind person, you’re not only helping others, you are helping yourself too. There’s substantial scientific evidence that being kind makes you — and others around you — happy.
In a study conducted by Dr. Sonja Lyubomirsky, a psychology professor at University of California, Riverside, students were assigned to do five random acts of kindness per week for a period of six weeks. At the end of the study, the students’ levels of happiness had increased by 41.66 percent. Being kind had a profoundly positive effect on happiness.
In this viral post on social media shared by a netizen named Aifah Mc Al, she witnessed how a passenger help the family in need in a jeepney.
The netizens narrated that while she was on a trip, a family raised his attention. She saw a woman with some luggage and she noticed that her son was sick and weak, an unknown guy asks her and offers help.

“Salute ako dito kay kuya na nakasakay ko sa 01k kanina papuntang Colon. Habang nasa biyahe kami, may ina na nagkakandong ng kanyang anak na babae, around 8-10 years old. May mga bagahe din siya. Kasama niya ang kanyang asawa at kanyang isa pang anak na lalake. Nanghihina ang batang babae. (Hindi ko na nakunan ng picture ang batang babae kasi nasa likuran dila ng driver at ako naman, nasa entrance ng jeep). Then may isang pasahero na nagtanong sa ina about sa kalagayan ng bata. May diarrhea pala ang bata. Binigyan ni kuya ng pera ang ina ng bata para daw diretso na sila sa ospital para ipaconfine kasi hinang-hina na ang bata. Binigyan niya din pala ng pangTaxi kasi traffic nun at mainit pa. Napaiyak talaga ang ina sa sobrang saya. May napansin din ako na may tinawagan agad si kuya, based on thier convo, parang tauhan sa ospital yung kausap niya kasi sabi niya, “may paparating na pasyente diyan. NakaTaxi sila. Pakiabangan na lang at pakialagaan. Natuwa ako kasi may mga tao pa palang katulad ni kuya. God bless to you and your family sir. ”
